Pakistan Cement: Aug’23 dispatches up 37%YoY/41%MoM – By Taurus Research

Local dispatches arrived at 3.79Mn tons, up 37% MoM/31%YoY, mainly due to a low base effect amid floods last year, and resumption of construction activity. 2MFY24 dispatches arrived at 7.74Mn tons, up 45%YoY mainly driven by increased demand in the South region.</span></li></ul><ul><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:medium;">Further, export dispatches clocked-in at 0.73Mn tons, up 66% MoM/87%YoY on the back of favorable retention prices amid decrease in Afghan coal prices coupled with lower freight cost.
