Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited (MLCF): Growing construction activities boosts profit – By WE Research

<ul><li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:medium;">The net revenue of the Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited (MLCF) reached Rs 18,294 million in 9MFY17 which is 8% YoY up when compared to a net revenue of Rs 16,935 million in the identical period in FY16. This growth in net revenue was attributed to higher domestic volumetric sales on back of growing construction activities in the country amid developments related to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), spending through Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), and construction activities by the private sector. The domestic volumetric sales of the company totaled 2.2 million tons in 9MFY17 which is 11% YoY up from 1.98 million tons of sales in 9MFY16. However owing to lower sales to Afghanistan, the export sales fell by 19.3% YoY in 9MFY17 to 361k tons.<...
